Some Day

September 17, 2015 Mick Evans
Some Day

I started writing this 20 years ago as an apology. It was never accepted.

Quite right, too!

I love the melody & the vocals - both are Kris Sandberg - one of my good friends in Germany (Kris & Dietmar) - they gave me my first 'leg up' in songwriting. I hope we do more soon!

Some Day
Lyrics: Mick Evans / Music: Kris Sandberg

I drink to forget you
and then I just let you
jump in my glass
and swallow me whole -
this isn’t a graceful
dance with a stranger
this isn’t my vision at all

Won’t you come back to me
won’t you forgive me
some day? some day?
Don’t you lose track of me
don’t you still miss me
some day? some day?
your heart’s on my sleeve
my head’s in my hands
and I need you - I need you

Caught in a picture
a black and white vista
you can’t share the view
on your own -
I treasured the moments
watching you sleeping
now I sleep with your whispers
alone

Won’t you come back to me
won’t you forgive me
some day? some day?
Don’t you lose track of me
don’t you still miss me
some day? some day?
your heart’s on my sleeve
my head’s in my hands
and I need you - I need you

Some days I’m free
some days I’m sober
I don’t care to count anymore -
I rarely remember
when we were together
just falling apart
to forgotten applause
